Analogies are a type of logic puzzle that take the form of “A is linked to B, in the same way that C is connected to D”. The key is to determine what logical link exists between A and B, and then work out what would be the equivalent link for something else. For example, if the example provided was “Glove is to Hand”, you might realise that the connection is between a piece of clothing and where it is worn. Therefore if the partnered statement was “as Shoe is to…?” then the correct answer would be “foot”, as Glove connects to Hand in the same way and with the same logic that Shoe connects to Foot.
Analogy puzzles can sometimes be quite challenging tests of logic, requiring some abstract thought to determine exactly what connection applies. This quiz is, thankfully, far easier than many of those!
We will provide two examples of the connection, and the start of the third. Use your trivia knowledge to select the right answer from the four multiple-choice options to complete each statement. In case you get lost, the connections for each question will be explained on your results page along with your score.
Have fun!
